Baring It! with Isaac

David:  When Terry approached you about doing drag shows at the Locker Room, what was your initial response? What made you decide to give it a chance?

Isaac:  I thought it was intriguing. Its something that I don't believe has been done in a bar downtown Marietta before. The idea Terry had was professional and I felt giving this a chance would be worthwhile

David:  How do you believe the first show was received? What was your first response to seeing a drag show? And your thoughts on the ladies that have performed there so far?

Isaac:  I think the 1st show was received well. We weren't sure how our regular crowd would feel about this. Attitudes on gay/lesbian/transgender lifestyles have became more relaxed today, but the Mid Ohio Valley is typically a very conservative area. An overwelming majority really enjoyed this, and you don't have to be involved int his lifestyle to enjoy the show. The crowds I think have been a majority of straight customers. I thought the performances were very tasteful. My reaction to this was a job very well done. The performers were more polished than I imagined. This was something I could tell they dedicated a large portion of their lives to and it showed.

David:  Do you think that Terry is right in believing that this could coherently, bring the gay and straight world together and start to build unity in the Mid Ohio Valley?

Isaac:  Yes I do agree with Terry on that. I feel as recently as 10 years ago this may have caused more of a community uproar. But the views on the gay/lesbian/transgender lifestyles across the country have been changing. It's not the shock factor it once was. It's becoming much more accepted. While everyone doesn't 'agree' with it, people that may feel that way seem to have become more accepting to personal choices.

David:  Tell us a little about the Locker Room? What nights are the drag shows, and is it true that they are on thursday nights, once a month? I also heard talks of strippers, is that still in the works?

Terry:  The Locker Room is a bit of a mixed bag. We serve a limited food menu. We have karaoke on Tuesdays, and different DJ's Wed-Sat. We are known as the melting pot of the Mid Ohio Valley. Color, sexual orientation, none of that matters at The Locker Room. We are about making sure people have a good time. Sometimes taking a break from life even for a few hours a week and just letting go I think means a lot to many people, and that's why for 9 years running we have been able to have continued success, by giving the community a place to do just that. We've done things years ago such as ladies pillow fighting, sexy ladies of the MOV calendar shoots, male hot bodies, eating contests, dance competitions. Adding shows such as these really just helps us continue to evolve as the times change. At this time yes they are on Thursdays once a month. And yes, lol, there is a possible male stripper (no nudity) in the works for one of the upcoming Thursday night shows.

David:  Who is Isaac Eastwood? I heard rumors of an interesting art class you talk, care to elaborate? LOL6. Are you single? Who is the lucky lady if there is one and how do you make a relationship work, being affiliated with a club?

Isaac:  What a question. I'm just an everyday guy who happens to run a very successful bar. I pursue my passions. I've done several independent movies and am always pursuing new acting opportunities. I have hobbies, I do crossfit, I like to paint and from time to time the occasional youtube video. And the infamous art classes. I have posed nude for Washington State Community College I believe is what you refer to.

I am single. I go out on dates from time to time, but at this moment their is no 'lucky lady' in my life.

David:  What were your thoughts on the history making marriage equality act, allowing same sex marriage? Do you believe it is fair to let each state to decide what they do?. What endeavors do u have coming up or shows you'd like to tell us about?

Isaac:  As far as the political aspect of it all. I try my best to not judge anything. As a straight man I have no dog in this fight, but my personal beliefs are not necessarily mixed with political beliefs. Separation of church and state is important. I do believe states should have the right to decide what they do. The less federal government involved in anything I think is for the better.

I just finished filming an upcoming documentary for Remix Pro Wrestling. A good friend of mine by the name of Tom Smith was sent the footage and the editing process has started. Hopefully in about 3 months there should be something more definitive in regards to a release date for that. A local independent film 'Arcadia' shot by the amazing Andy Hall is opening at the Colony Theater March 5th and that one looks to be GREAT. Andy has amazing artistic abilities. I'm also slated to play the role of Alexander Hamilton this spring in local film director Rich Rule's 'Marrtown'. God willing the great opportunities continue and you never know what you might see me in.
